There is a detailed description of Symbol Import.

At first:

1. Use the File menu.

2. Select New.

   

3. Select Chart.

   

Now you can see Chart Window. It's empty.

           

Click the right mouse button anywhere in the Chart Window and choose Symbol Properties.

           

Now you can see Symbol Properties Window

           

Click Lookup. Now you can see Symbol Lookup Window.

           

Select Data Provider for which you wish to import symbol. In this example Interactive Brokers data provider selected.

           

Click on Import Symbol button

 

Now you can see Import Symbol Window.

             

At first you must choose Type from the list. For example: Stock.

           

           

Optionally you can choose Exchange from the list. For example: NYSE.

           

           

Now enter a Symbol name to lookup. For example: IBM.

           

After all click Lookup.

If you are using Interactive Brokers(IB) Data Provider and it's your first request till aplication start IB will show the following dialog.

           

Please click Yes.

           

Now Symbol "IBM" appeared in the list. Select it and click Import.

           

We returned to the Symbol Lookup Window. Symbol "IBM" also appeared in the list here.

           

Choose it and click Select.

           

So we returned to the Symbol Property Window. Click Ok.

           

Now you can see chart with "IBM" Symbol.
