To work with OpenTick Data Provider you must have an OpenTick account. You can obtain it for FREE on OpenTick.com website.

 

OpenTick data provider has it's own exchange codes. NeedForTrade Studio is using the following Symbol Name convention for OpenTick:

<SymbolName>-<OpenTickExchange>. For example: MSFT-Q.

 

You can use Symbol Import to add OpenTick symbols to platform. See Symbol Import Tutoral. Also you can use advanced symbol lookup on OpenTick site to find required symbol names that you can later use in symbol import requests.

 

You can select between two different OpenTick data providers:

• OpenTick data provider - Serves real-time data and historical. Requires real-time account on OpenTick (exchange fees can be applied). Also can be used with FREE data from ECN's.
• OpenTick Delayed data provider - Lets access historical and 15-minute delayed real-time data. It's totally FREE.

 

For the first time you use each of open tick data providers you will be asked to enter your OpenTick account loging and  password. This information  can be changed at any time by selecting required data provider in Symbol Properties window and clicking on Setup link at the right of Data Provider list.
